As a single man at that time, I was always looking for something tasty that doesn&#8217;t take so much time to prepare.<\/p>\n<h2>Penne al Salmone (Penne pasta with Salmon)<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_872\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-872\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/penne-al-salmone.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-872 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/penne-al-salmone-300x217.jpg\" alt=\"Penne al Salmone\" width=\"300\" height=\"217\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/penne-al-salmone-300x217.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/penne-al-salmone-700x506.jpg 700w, https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/penne-al-salmone-332x240.jpg 332w, https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/penne-al-salmone.jpg 987w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-872\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Penne al Salmone<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Ingredients for 4 people<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>400 gr of <a href=\"http:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/penne\/\">Penne<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/farfalle-allegre\/\">Farfalle<\/a><\/p>\n<p>250 gr of smoked Salmon (cut into strips)<\/p>\n<p>200 ml of fresh cream<\/p>\n<p>30 ml of <a href=\"http:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/extra-virgin-olive-oil-il-vero-1-lt\/\">extra virgin olive oil<\/a> (EVOO)<\/p>\n<p>2 garlic gloves<\/p>\n<p>1 tbsp of <a href=\"http:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/sundried-tomato-pate-small\/\">Sundried tomato pate<\/a> or passata<\/p>\n<p>A small bunch of fresh parsley chopped<\/p>\n<p>Salt and pepper<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Put 4 lt of water to boil with 30 gr of coarse sea salt. When the water is already boiling, add the pasta. Stir it and start to make the sauce; that will take 10 minutes to be ready.<\/p>\n<p>In a frying pan, put the EVOO, warm it for about 30 seconds. Crush the 2 garlic cloves and add them to the oil until golden (roughly 2 min) and then discard them.<\/p>\n<p>Add\u00a0 the smoked salmon to the oil. Stir it for a minute or two then add the fresh cream, the parsley (preserve a little bit for garnishing), the sundried tomato pate or passata and a bit of freshly ground black pepper.<\/p>\n<p>Cover and\u00a0 cook over a gentle heat for 3-4 minutes. The sauce will thicken and then will be ready to receive the pasta.<\/p>\n<p>Check the pasta; it should be almost ready. Drain it well and add it to the sauce. Toss all together for 1 min and serve it on a plate.
