There is a twist though.. you&#8217;ll not be eating the usual basil pesto pasta but an innovative turnip tops pesto pasta that is creamy, rich, and wholesome.<\/p>\n<p>PS: It contains anchovies.<\/p>\n<h5>Ingredients for your Orecchiette Pasta (makes 2 portions)<\/h5>\n<p>2 cloves garlic finely chopped or minced<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/extra-virgin-olive-oil-il-vero-1-lt\/?utm_source=Belmorso&amp;utm_medium=Recipes&amp;utm_campaign=Products&amp;utm_id=orecchiette+pasta+with+turnip+tops+pesto&amp;utm_term=Belmorso+Extra+Virgin+Olive+Oil_text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Belmorso Extra Virgin Olive Oil<\/a><br \/>\n1 tbsp capers<br \/>\n1 can tuna (or 3 anchovy fillets)<br \/>\n1 jar <a href=\"https:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/turnip-seasoning\/?utm_source=Belmorso&amp;utm_medium=Recipes&amp;utm_campaign=Products&amp;utm_id=orecchiette+pasta+with+turnip+tops+pesto&amp;utm_term=Bemorso+Turnip+Tops+Pesto_text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Belmorso Turnip Tops Pesto<\/a><br \/>\n250 gr <a href=\"https:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/wholemeal-orecchiette\/?utm_source=Belmorso&amp;utm_medium=Recipes&amp;utm_campaign=Products&amp;utm_id=orecchiette+pasta+with+turnip+tops+pesto&amp;utm_term=Belmorso+Wholemeal+Orecchiette_text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Belmorso Wholemeal Orecchiette<\/a> (or you can use the regular orecchiette)<br \/>\n3 tbsp breadcrumbs<br \/>\n1.5 tbsp grated parmesan cheese<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-10961\" src=\"https:\/\/belmorso.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/orecchiette-pasta-2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"orecchiette pasta\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<h5>Preparation<\/h5>\n<p>Start by peeling, washing, and cutting your garlic finely.<\/p>\n<p>Saut\u00e9 the garlic in a pan with a generous drizzle of Belmorso Extra Virgin Olive Oil.<\/p>\n<p>Fill a pot with water, add plenty of salt, and let it boil.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-10964\" src=\"https:\/\/belmorso.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/orecchiette-pasta-4-1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"orecchiette pasta\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Add the capers and tuna to the garlic and leave to saut\u00e9 for a few minutes over low heat.<\/p>\n<p>Throw the orecchiette pasta to cook.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-10960\" src=\"https:\/\/belmorso.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/orecchiette-pasta-1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"orecchiette pasta\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then add the jar of turnip tops pesto to the garlic, tuna and capers mix. Mix well and leave to cook for a few more minutes.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-10966\" src=\"https:\/\/belmorso.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/turnip-tops-pesto-pasta-2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"turnip tops pesto pasta\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In a separate pan lightly toast the breadcrumbs with the grated parmesan. Make sure you have your flame or hob temperature set to low. You only need to toast them for 2\/3 minutes, mixing with a spatula all the time.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-10869 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/belmorso.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/orecchiette-with-cannonata-4-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"orecchiette pasta\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Set some pasta water aside and drain the pasta.<\/p>\n<p>Taste your sauce and see if you think it needs salt.
