Thankfully, nowadays, also Italians can benefit from this pleasant and amusing tradition! Moreover, it is perfect to spend a nice day with relatives and friends, and to cook all together, mostly with children!<\/p>\n<p>Sweets and candies are never lacking for Halloween, whereas scary savoury meals are often more difficult to find and to prepare. However, to keep a dark atmosphere both during the lunch and the dinner time on the 31st of October is fundamental to properly celebrate this awesome night!<\/p>\n<p>So, let&#8217;s do all together my fearsome yummy:<\/p>\n<h1>The Witches Cemetery<\/h1>\n<h2>Ingredients for 3-4 people:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>2 Eggs<\/li>\n<li>125g White Flour<\/li>\n<li>2 spoons of <a href=\"http:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/extra-virgin-olive-oil-il-vero-1-lt\/\">Extra Virgin Olive Oil &#8220;Il Vero&#8221;<\/a><\/li>\n<li>125ml Milk<\/li>\n<li>125ml Cream<\/li>\n<li>400g Mushrooms<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/sundried-tomato-pate-small\/\">Sundried Tomatoes Pat\u00e8<\/a><\/li>\n<li>2 Garlic Cloves<\/li>\n<li>Shaved Parmesan, as needed (a lot!!)<\/li>\n<li>150g Diced Cheddar<\/li>\n<li>250ml White Sauce (recipe below: 50gr Butter, 3 spoons White Flour, 2 glasses of Milk)<\/li>\n<li>5-6 Crackers<\/li>\n<li>Keptchup<\/li>\n<li>Parsley, as needed<\/li>\n<li>salt and pepper, as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-1a.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3799\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3799\" src=\"http:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-1a-300x183.png\" alt=\"WitchesCemetery 1a\" width=\"300\" height=\"183\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-1a-300x183.png 300w, https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-1a.png 478w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We start cooking the pancakes. This will be the layers of our peculiar &#8220;lasagna&#8221;. In a bowl, mix together the white flour, eggs, <a href=\"http:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/extra-virgin-olive-oil-il-vero-1-lt\/\">extra virgin olive oil<\/a>, a pinch of salt, milk and butter until smooth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-2a.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3800\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3800\" src=\"http:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-2a-300x90.png\" alt=\"WitchesCemetery 2a\" width=\"300\" height=\"90\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-2a-300x90.png 300w, https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-2a-768x230.png 768w, https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-2a.png 951w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Warm up a pan, and grease it with a little bit of butter. Pour a spoonful of the pancakes mixture in the pan, and create a round shape, twirling the pan around. Let the crepe turn golden brown, and then turn it to cook the other side. Let them cook for 10-15 minutes with a low heat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-5-e1477522533751.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3808\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3808\" src=\"http:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-5-e1477522533751-300x227.jpg\" alt=\"WitchesCemetery 5\" width=\"300\" height=\"227\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-5-e1477522533751-300x227.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-5-e1477522533751.jpg 396w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ones it&#8217;s ready, remove the garlic and few mushrooms (we will use it for the filling and for the final decoration), transfer the mushrooms to a bowl and\u00a0blend them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prepare the white sauce:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a medium saucepan, heat the butter over medium-low heat until melted. Add the flour and stir until smooth. Over medium heat, cook until the mixture turns a light, golden sandy colour, about 6 to 7 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, heat the milk in a separate pan until just about to boil. Add the hot milk to the butter mixture 1 cup at a time, whisking continuously until very smooth. Bring to a boil. Cook 10 minutes, stirring constantly, then remove from heat. Season with salt and nutmeg, and set aside until ready to use.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-6-e1477522650222.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3809\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3809 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-6-e1477522650222-245x300.jpg\" alt=\"WitchesCemetery 6\" width=\"245\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-6-e1477522650222-245x300.jpg 245w, https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-6-e1477522650222.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 245px) 100vw, 245px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Add half of the white sauce to the mushroom sauce and stir all together.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-7-e1477522886861.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3811\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3811\" src=\"http:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-7-e1477522886861-300x201.jpg\" alt=\"WitchesCemetery 7\" width=\"300\" height=\"201\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our second filling is made with \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/sundried-tomato-pate-small\/\">Sundried Tomatoes Pat\u00e8<\/a>. Just put the content of the sun-dried tomato in a pot and dilute it with 5-6 spoons of water. Let it boil for few minutes and then reduce the heat: ready to go!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-8-e1477523025653.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3812\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3812\" src=\"http:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-8-e1477523025653-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"WitchesCemetery 8\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Create the layers of our pancake-lasagna in the following way :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The first layer of crepes:<\/li>\n<li>Spread the mushroom sauce on top of the pancake, add some of the remaining\u00a0mushrooms, the diced cheddar and, finally drizzle the parmesan on top<\/li>\n<li>Place the second layer of pancakes:<\/li>\n<li>Spread the <a href=\"http:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/sundried-tomato-pate-small\/\">Sundried Tomatoes Pat\u00e8<\/a> on to of the pancake, few spoonfuls of the remaining white sauce and finally, drizzle shaved parmesan on top<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-9-e1477523257428.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3814\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3814\" src=\"http:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-9-e1477523257428-300x158.jpg\" alt=\"WitchesCemetery 9\" width=\"306\" height=\"161\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-10-e1477523280529.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3813\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3813\" src=\"http:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-10-e1477523280529-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"WitchesCemetery 10\" width=\"289\" height=\"162\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Continue this way, until the crepes or the fillings are finished. The lasagna should end with a rich layer of mushroom sauce, which will remind you of the ground of a graveyard.<\/p>\n<p>Now: LET&#8217;S DECORATE!<\/p>\n<p>Take the crackers and decorate them as little graves using the ketchup.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-11-e1477523454483.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3815\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3815\" src=\"http:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/WitchesCemetery-11-e1477523454483-300x135.jpg\" alt=\"WitchesCemetery 11\" width=\"300\" height=\"135\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Insert them on top of the lasagna, with the help of a knife. The ketchup will get a darker colour and the cheese will melt&#8230; your Witches Cemetery will be warm, stringy and absolutely delicious!<\/p>\n<p>Serve with a glass of Red Blood and&#8230;.
