Surrounded\u00a0by the snowy Alps, the temperatures are far lower than anywhere else in Italy. For this reason, a warm and scented dish of pasta is a touch of joy on a cold winter day!<\/p>\n<p><strong>The sauce<\/strong> is made with Gorgonzola Cheese. This type of cheese pair perfectly with mushrooms and walnuts. A combination of an earthy taste that is accentuated by the strong flavour of blue cheese.<\/p>\n<p>As you already know, there are<strong> pasta shapes<\/strong> that suit a sauce better than others. One of the best shapes to absorb any creamy sauce<span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: normal;\"> is<\/span>\u00a0Strozzapreti!\u00a0 I love the<a href=\"https:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/wholemeal-strozzapreti\/\"><strong> Wholemeal Strozzapreti<\/strong> <\/a>because is high in vitamins and minerals. I didn&#8217;t have any packet left it at home so I used the regular version only for this time&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Make sure that you cook it <strong>&#8220;<\/strong><em><strong>al dente&#8221;<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/em>to have a perfect texture!<\/p>\n<p>So what are you waiting for?\u00a0Fasten your apron and try my:<\/p>\n<h1>Strozzapreti with Gorgonzola, Mushrooms and Walnut Sauce<\/h1>\n<h2>Ingredients for 4 people:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>380g of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/wholemeal-strozzapreti\/\">Wholemeal strozzapreti<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>200g Gorgonzola Cheese<\/li>\n<li>1 pack of Cream<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 Glass of Milk<\/li>\n<li>50g of Grated Parmesan<\/li>\n<li>250g Mixed Mushrooms<\/li>\n<li>1 Garlic clove<\/li>\n<li>3 Tbsp\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/extra-virgin-olive-oil-il-vero-1-lt\/\">Extra Virgin Olive Oil &#8220;Il Vero&#8221;<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Walnuts<\/li>\n<li>Salt and pepper, as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"attachment_6559\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6559\" style=\"width: 296px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Strozzapreti1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6559 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Strozzapreti1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"296\" height=\"166\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-6559\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ingredients<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Let&#8217;s start cooking the mushrooms! Fry the garlic clove in a pan with a little bit of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/extra-virgin-olive-oil-il-vero-1-lt\/\">Extra Virgin Olive Oil &#8220;Il Vero&#8221;.<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0When the garlic clove is brown add the chopped mushrooms. Cook for around 20 mins with a lid. I used fresh mushrooms but you can also use them\u00a0frozen, they are as lovely as the fresh ones!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_6560\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6560\" style=\"width: 295px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Strozzapreti2.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6560 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Strozzapreti2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"295\" height=\"166\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-6560\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Cook the mushrooms with a bit of garlic<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In the meanwhile, put the gorgonzola cheese in a pan and let it melt with a bit of milk and cream. Add pepper and just a little touch of salt (the cheese is already salty!).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_6561\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6561\" style=\"width: 296px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Strozzapreti3.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6561 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Strozzapreti3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"296\" height=\"221\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-6561\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Make the sauce<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>To cook the pasta, bring a pot full of salted water to the boil. When the water is boiling, add the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/wholemeal-strozzapreti\/\">strozzapreti<\/a> <\/strong>and drain the pasta. Pour the<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/wholemeal-strozzapreti\/\">strozzapreti pasta<\/a> <\/strong>in the pan containing the cheese sauce and stir all together. Then, add the mushrooms and mix all the ingredients.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_6563\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6563\" style=\"width: 295px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Strozzapreti4.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6563 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Strozzapreti4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"295\" height=\"166\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-6563\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Toss the pasta<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Crush the walnuts in gross pieces, and add a handful of them and the grated parmesan to the sauce as well.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_6562\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6562\" style=\"width: 295px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Strozzapreti5.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6562 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Strozzapreti5.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"295\" height=\"166\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-6562\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Add the last touch with crushed walnuts and grated Parmesan<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Turn off the heat, stir together again, and&#8230; all done!!
