Pour a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil into a large non-stick pan and saut\u00e9 the chopped onion until it becomes transparent.<br \/>\nIn the meantime, wash, peel, and chop the tomatoes. When the onion is well softened, add the cherry tomatoes, olives, chopped red pepper, basil chopped by hand, and anchovies, and continue cooking for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/devils_pasta_taste_with_gusto_pan.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9458 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/devils_pasta_taste_with_gusto_pan.jpg\" alt=\"devils_pasta_taste_with_gusto_pan\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/devils_pasta_taste_with_gusto_sauce.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9459 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/devils_pasta_taste_with_gusto_sauce.jpg\" alt=\"devils_pasta_taste_with_gusto_sauce\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nIn the meantime, cook the pasta in slightly salted water, taking care to drain it when it is still \u201cal dente\u201d (2 minutes before the cooking time suggested on the pasta package). Retain a few tablespoons of the cooking water.
