With just a few ingredients and the help of a delicious sauce \u2013 our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/pepper-spread-large\/\"><strong>Sweet Pepper Spread (Crema di Peperoni)<\/strong><\/a><\/strong>\u2013 we create a beautiful dish.<\/p>\n<h5>Ingredients for 2 people<\/h5>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/pasta_pepper_basil_pinenuts_taste_with_gusto_ingredients.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9767 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/pasta_pepper_basil_pinenuts_taste_with_gusto_ingredients.jpg\" alt=\"pasta_pepper_basil_pinenuts_taste_with_gusto_ingredients\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/1-pasta\/\">pasta<\/a><\/strong> 200 gr (we use penne but you can use any pasta shape you prefer)<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/7-olive-oils\/\">extra virgin olive oil<\/a><\/strong> 2 tbsp<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/pepper-spread-large\/\">Sweet Pepper Spread <\/a><\/strong>1 jar (200g Glass Jar)<\/p>\n<p>fresh basil 10 leaves<\/p>\n<p>pine nuts 1 tablespoon<\/p>\n<p>salt and pepper to taste<\/p>\n<p>grated Pecorino cheese (optional)<\/p>\n<h5>Equipment<\/h5>\n<p>1 medium saucepan, 1 non-stick pan, 1 blender<\/p>\n<h5>Preparation<\/h5>\n<p>Bring the water to a boil, then add salt and pasta.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, pour the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tastewithgusto.ie\/shop\/pepper-spread-large\/\">Sweet Pepper Spread<\/a><\/strong> into the blender and quickly mix.<\/p>\n<p>In a non-stick pan, heat the oil and add the pine nuts, mix until they become golden-brown, then add the basil leaves (tear them into smaller pieces by hand), and the Sweet Pepper Spread. Heat at low temperature and turn the heat off.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/pasta_pepper_basil_pinenuts_taste_with_gusto_pan.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9768 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/pasta_pepper_basil_pinenuts_taste_with_gusto_pan.jpg\" alt=\"pasta_pepper_basil_pinenuts_taste_with_gusto_pan\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/pasta_pepper_basil_pinenuts_taste_with_gusto_sauce.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9769 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/pasta_pepper_basil_pinenuts_taste_with_gusto_sauce.jpg\" alt=\"pasta_pepper_basil_pinenuts_taste_with_gusto_sauce\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When the pasta is cooked, set aside a cup of cooking water and pour it into the pan with Sweet Pepper Cream, basil, and pine nuts. Quickly mix and add a few teaspoons of cooking water if it is too dry.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/pasta_pepper_basil_pinenuts_taste_with_gusto_mix_pasta.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9770 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/pasta_pepper_basil_pinenuts_taste_with_gusto_mix_pasta.jpg\" alt=\"pasta_pepper_basil_pinenuts_taste_with_gusto_mix_pasta\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Serve immediately after topping with a few fresh basil leaves and, if you want, some grated pecorino cheese.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/300_bf_1_pasta_peperoni_basil_pinenuts_taste_with_gusto.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9771 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/cookwithgusto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/300_bf_1_pasta_peperoni_basil_pinenuts_taste_with_gusto.jpg\" alt=\"300_bf_1_pasta_peperoni_basil_pinenuts_taste_with_gusto\" width=\"300\" height=\"228\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h5>Tips<\/h5>\n<p>You can use the pesto as it is, rather than blending it first. However, the blending produces a sauce with a wonderful, velvety consistency.
