Butter-free Tea Biscuits

We all know that a cup of tea is not the same without biscuits!

But sometimes biscuits can be very heavy too. Shortbread, fig rolls, and digestives can spoil our appetite for dinner.

It is made with extra virgin olive oil instead of butter! They are delicious, and the flavour is distinguished by a very intriguing aromatic aftertaste!

Moreover, they are healthier, since it uses whole grain flour and extra virgin olive oil. The first is rich in fibre while the latter contains one of the best fats, with a lower calorie count than butter. EVOO comes with several additional benefits too.

In fact, due to its high antioxidant and anti-inflammation content, olive oil boosts our immunity system and strengthens and protects the structure of our blood vessels. Thanks to the presence of monounsaturated fats and the oleic acids, olive oil is a great ally against “bad” cholesterol and heart diseases. It has been demonstrated that taking three spoonfuls of olive oil each day consistently reduces the level of blood pressure.
