Pastry-crusted Italian Style Burger

To add a creative touch to your burger in just a few minutes, try this recipe!
I have replaced the soft bread with a crunchy puff pastry crust and I added mozzarella slices, to make the meat juicy and soft. I have also added Sundried Tomatoes, to give an Italian boost of taste! You can also use Soya or Veggie Burger instead of beef if you prefer a veggie option!

Pastry-crusted Italian Style Burger!
Ingredients for 2 people:
- 4 Hamburgers
- 1 Mozzarella
- 1 Jar of Sundried Tomatoes
- 1 Puff Pastry Sheet
- 1 Egg
- Sesame Seeds
- Salt and Pepper
Fry the hamburgers in a pan, just for 2 minutes each side to create a slight brown crust.
Cut the mozzarella into slices.
Put one hamburger on one side of the puff pastry.
Add a slice of mozzarella on top and season with salt and pepper.
After that, put the second hamburger on top. Add another slice of mozzarella, season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Finally, add 2 or 3 sundried tomatoes.
Wrap the hamburger and mozzarella tower in the puff pastry to create a shell. Decorate the top with some strips of puff pastry.
Beat the egg and spread it on the pastry shell.
Then, decorate with some sesame seeds on top.
Repeat the same steps for the second serving.
Put in the oven, preheated at 180°C for around 20 minutes.
Serve warm… they are really delicious!
You will have a great surprise as soon as you will cut the pastry shell… the smell is stunning!
