Ladybirds Salmon Canapè
Ingredients for 6 people:
- 200g of Smoked Salmon
- 100g Cream Cheese
- 1 package of Oven-Dried Black Olives
- 1 Baguette
- 10 Cherry Tomatoes
- Salad
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Salt and Pepper
Cut the bread into slices and spread the cream cheese.
Put one piece of salmon on top of every slice of bread.
Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half. Using a sharp knife make an incision up to half of the tomato without cutting too deep into the flesh, to create the wings of the ladybird.
Cut the black olives in half, to create the head of the ladybird.
With a toothpick, make tiny holes on the surface of the body and insert little pieces of black olives to resemble the black dots of the ladybird’s wings.
With a tiny piece of a toothpick, join the body and the head of the ladybird. If you think your child could swallow the toothpicks you can just put the body and the head next to each other on the top of the canapè.
Decorate with some leaves of salad, to give a touch of green and season with a pinch of salt and a little bit of Extra Virgin Olive Oil on top.
Delicious and cute!
Enjoy and… Buon Appetito!
