Black Olives Bread Crown

 

Today I was in the mood of baking something special. I decided to have a look at my Grandma Recipes Book. I found this delicious Black Olives Bread Crown!

It’s an excellent alternative to traditional bread. The magic ingredient of this recipe is the Black Olives Tapenade that can give a boost of taste to all your meals!

 
This lovely bread is perfect with Parma Ham or Salami. However, it can be a great accompaniment to any meal or afternoon snack.

Black Olives Bread Crown

Ingredients

Mix the flours, salt, baking powder and water together, to obtain a sticky dough.

Mix the flours, salt, baking powder and water together

Keep it in a bowl, sprinkle with a bit of Extra virgin Olive Oil “Il Vero” and cover with cling film.

Make the dough

Let the dough rest for 1 hour. Then, slap and fold the dough for few minutes, and then let it rest for a further hour. Repeat the procedure twice. The dough should double in volume.

Roll the dough and obtain a rectangular shape 20x30cm.

Spread the Black Olive Tapenade on the dough

and roll it up.

Slice the roll.

Overlap the slices on top of each other, to create a crown.

Sprinkle with Extra virgin Olive Oil “Il Vero” and bake for 40 minutes at 180°C.

All done! Your Black Olives Bread is ready.. Eat it warm with Parma ham and figs… delicious!
